Since 2013, BlueAvocado has been a certified B Corp, designed for our ability to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. Certified by the non-profit B Lab, B Corps are purpose-driven and create benefits for all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and conduct business with the understanding that we are each dependent on another and thus responsible for each other and future generations. IMPACT AT EVERY LEVEL
BlueAvocado products have an impact label that shows the impact each product has. The label also lists the number of bottles upcycled to show how much each product is keeping out of landfills.
Since its inception, BlueAvocado and our customers have taken actions that together have delivered a great benefit to the planet and its people.
We consume more than 100 billion plastic bags worldwide, most of which are used for only minutes, are not recycled and can last up to 1,000 years in a landfill. Plastic bags represent the #2 most commonly found item in beach clean-ups. So far, BlueAvocado has kept 200 million disposable plastic bags out of landfills, oceans and highways. And we're not stopping there.
We aim to create jobs in our local and national economy, where individuals and families can thrive. We want to give back to our local community with workplace volunteer opportunities. As a certified B Corp, we will support the "B the Change" movement to inspire retailers, consumers and other business partners. BlueAvocado can partner with everyone throughout our supply chain to continue to increase recycled content and recyclability of our products, and improve the environment and social ratings of our partners.
